Title: Director of Scholarships |
Title: Dean of Instruction GALLUP CAMPUS The Dean of Instruction is the College's chief academic officer who reports directly to the Executive Director and has overall responsibility for leadership and administration of the instructional program. The Dean's leadership responsibilities include encouraging and facilitating
excellence in faculty teaching, scholarly work, student success, and service
with the College and the community at-large. The Dean is responsible for
strategic planning and goal setting for the instructional area, oversight
of the instructional budget, continuing a comprehensive assessment of
academic and Career Technical programs, promoting the recruitment and
retention of a diverse and talented faculty and student body, furthering
education innovations, including instructional technologies within the
service area, working with the faculty and administration to foster faculty
development, recommending faculty for tenure and rank advancement, and
building and maintaining strong relations between the College, UNM-Albuquerque,
the local community and alumni. The Dean has oversight of the processes
for accreditation and evaluation visits and direct surveys and studies
required to determine the training, Career Technical education, community
education and economic needs to the community. This individual also oversees
the operation of the Center for Career and Technical Education (CCTE,
an area vocational high school program). There are two offsite campuses
for the Gallup Campus; Zuni and Gallup north side. The Dean will also
be a member of the Dean's Council in Albuquerque, confer with the departments
there and facilitate faculty dialogue with UNM-Albuquerque. |

Title: Director of Communications, NIEA Essential Functions for the position include, but are not limited to:
establish and implement an overarching communications plan to promote
and expand the influence, capacity, and sustainability of the organization
and its mission; establish and implement a media relations plan encompassing
all aspects and services of the organization; foster working relationships
with journalists, reporters, opinion and policy setters, and all print,
electronic, video, and other media; establish, develop, and implement
a plan to use social media to increase the influence of the organization;
create consistent and uniform messages on behalf of the organization;
create and build future fund development opportunities; develop and deliver
training to volunteers and staff on media relations and communication
plan, effective use of social media, communicating consistent organizational
messages, and how to increase potential fund development opportunities
for the organization; assist in man! aging the development, updating,
and effective use of the technical infrastructure and website contained
with the organization; tell the story of NIEA's success: create web and
print news stories about NIEA in our members' communities; develop promotional
material (video, web and print) for NIEA events; other innovative ways
to reach and increase a diverse membership base; and other duties as assigned

Title: STEM Resource/Demonstration Coordinator The College of Menominee Nation has a great new project funded by USDA and they are looking for a new employee to work as a liaison across CMN, UW Madison, and the Menominee Community to help train classroom teachers and strengthen their classroom curriculum to help develop more culturally-based STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) educational materials for grades 6-12. UW Madison is the administrator of this $4.7 million dollar USDA grant and CMN is the primary partner. All work would be carried out in Shawano and Menominee County. The primary school targets are Menominee Indian School District and Menominee Tribal School. At some point other local schools may be asked to join especially if UW/CMN want higher participation levels. Please note that CMN would be your employer and you'd have an office at CMN for this 5 year grant. Development Location: Cornell University, Ithaca, New York Associate Dean for Inclusion & Professional Development, Graduate School Cornell University is seeking candidates for the position of Associate Dean for Inclusion & Professional Development in the Graduate School. The Associate Dean is a core member of the Graduate School (http://www.gradschool.cornell.edu/) leadership team, and provides vision, direction, and coordination for Graduate School initiatives to enhance the academic and professional development of graduate and professional students with a primary focus on students from groups historically underrepresented in graduate education. The Associate Dean will be responsible for strategic leadership in defining and implementing programs that foster competencies and develop skills to enhance students' academic success, improve retention and completion rates, and prepare students to pursue academic and non-academic careers following attainment of their degrees. S/he will proactively counsel and advise graduate and professional students to ensure a high level of support for developing skills required for successful completion of a graduate or professional degree, and will build effective collaborations and partnerships with other offices within the university, among peer institutions, and with appropriate external organizations including funding agencies. The Associate Dean will also serve as the primary Graduate School representative on campus diversity and inclusion initiatives as assigned by the Dean. In addition, s/he will collaborate with graduate student organizations at the university level to facilitate leadership and provide guidance with regard to graduate student professional development, retention, completion, academic success, and career search strategies. S/he will assist graduate fields in applying best practices for successfully recruiting and supporting a diverse graduate and professional student body. English, University of Tulsa The University of Tulsa seeks a tenure-track entry-level or advanced Assistant Professor of English, commencing August 2011, with research interests in digital humanities and 20th /21st-century literature and culture. Tulsa is a home to the Modernist Journals Project, an important digital humanities initiative. The McFarlin Librarys Special Collections have significant 20th-century archival holdings. We see English as a broad field with fluid boundaries, encompassing interests in film, creative writing, art, media studies, history of the book, womens and gender studies, periodical studies and other interdisciplinary areas. Teaching will include departmental courses and graduate seminars, participation in a humanities-based general curriculum and honors program, and service on dissertation committees. Interests in Native American literature and culture are particularly welcome.
