The
Center for Embedded Networked Sensing (CENS) at UCLA is coordinating
a large undergraduate research program recruitment effort
with eleven other National Science Foundation Science &
Technology Centers across the country. A joint application
process allows student to apply for a summer undergraduate
research opportunity at all 11 Centers with just one set of
application materials. There are 100 PAID Summer 2004 Research

IGERT Ph.D. Fellowship Program offers fellowships for students
who are entering or are enrolled in Ph.D. programs in many
fields of science and engineering. Most fellowships pay a
stipend of $27,500 per year plus tuition and fees and are
located at more than 100 universities all over the U.S. Each

Science Education Booklet Available from NIGMS
|

Medicines
By Design, an educational booklet about pharmacology, explains
how scientists unravel the many different ways medicines work
in the body and how this information guides the hunt for drugs
of the future. Published by the National Institute of General
Medical Sciences, Medicines By Design describes the science
of pharmacology, discusses how drugs work in the body, and
presents some of the latest research developments in the field.
