CBS News
invites the Native American community to explore our internship program for college students. We place students
at most of our news shows and departments including: 48 Hours, The Early Show, Face the Nation and Productions.
Students are also placed in our promotions, public relations, marketing, and new media departments. New York is
our headquarters, so most of the students are placed in that office. We also place students in our Washington,
D.C., London, Tokyo and occasionally our Los Angeles, Atlanta and Miami bureaus.
There is something for everyone in our program. We have a wide range of areas for students’ various interests.
Our program is ongoing and we hire students for the fall, winter, spring and summer sessions. The sky is the limit
as to what interns can do. We encourage our interns to ask questions, pitch story ideas and ask to do as much as
they would like. We hope to further our interns’ personal and professional lives by teaching them that the world
is theirs to conquer. Our goal is that they leave our program with a renewed confidence that they accomplish anything
Internships are vital experiences for students looking to get into the broadcast field. We have pride that our
program gives students the necessary tools and experience to make their dreams come true. Please forward a resume,
cover letter, two letters of recommendation, personal statement on the value of an internship, transcript, and
letter of school credit to: Eldra Rodriguez Gillman; Director, Professional Advancement and Internships; 2020 M
