Come Forth Laughing

Suquamish Game

How to play:

Divide group up into two teams.
You will need a stick and a plate.
The stick should be able to support the plate (you can use a frisbee) and the plate should be heavy enough not to fall off easy, but non breakable.

One person on each team is "captain" for lack of better word.
This person picks some one from the opposite side and, calling them by name says "Come forth laughing."

That person called must come for the plate and stick, without smiling or laughing.
They then retrieve the plate and stick, carrying it to their own side.
If they laugh, or even smile, or drop the plate, they join the opposite side.

While they are doing this, their opponents will do their best to make them laugh.
They can tell jokes, make funny sounds, anything is legal, to get them to laugh, or drop the plate off of the stick.

When all people are on one team, the game ends.

I have played this with all ages and it is fun.
